 The Executive Shuttlecraft (alsao known as the VIP Shuttle) was first seen in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country ferrying Kirk and co. to the Enterprise from Spacedock. It was a large shuttlecraft outfitted much like a modern airliner. The model was later used as the basis for the much larger Sydney class Transport in Star Trek the Next Generation's Relics, as Scotty's crashed spaceship on the Dyson Sphere. Contrary to fannish belief, the Sydney class at 235 metres was a very much larger ship than the VIP Shuttlecraft, which was only 25 metres in length.
